Wow !!@ tyfs
Have you ever put cabbage in with your vegetable soup with beef
I desperately needed this. Finally a taste of home.
First of all, this was really helpful, and also I just want to move into Phyllis’s kitchen. 😋
where did you go? I really like you!
Such a nice well explained recipe, thank you so much.
Love vivak
Your soup looks so yummy! My Mom always making pots of that soup. It went far feed a large family and normally had another dinner from it. Thank you for sharing your version of this classic soup.
You are kidding me right? You want to see how many people go with this recipe?…
That looks great! Thanks for the recipe! My son and I can't have milk due to allergies and lactose intolerance so this gravy would work great for us.
Thank you so much for your recipe. I never thought to use my crockpot. Will definitely make some this weekend.
Never, ever heard of boiled peanuts. I roast a bag of peanuts every Sunday. It's a tradition in my country that we finish off the Sunday meal with roasted peanuts in their shells. Will give these a try for a change, although, if I understood correctly, these are eaten as a snack between meals or in front of tv.
Great recipe and great presentation! Enjoyed your attitude about home cooking!
If you have that much snow where you live, you may be country, you may even be red neck, but you ain’t “southern” it don’t snow like that down here baby!
LOL,LOL,LOL!! LITTLE BOWLS LIKE THAT FROM THAT BARREL OF SOUP.. ITLL LAST ALL WINTER!! I KNOW THAT THE BOWL WAS FOR DEMONSTRATION, BUT THAT REALLY IS A HUGE POT! THEY SAY THAT THE CAMERA WILL ADD TEN POUNDS,NEVER KNEW IT APPLIED TO SOUP POTS TOO.. LOOKS GREAT,CANT WAIT TO TRY THIS!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!
Cabbage would be delicious in there there too.❤❤❤😊
Looks delicious! I love oakra in my soup.♥️♥️♥️🙂
This was a joy to watch since you made your chicken & gravy so similar to my mom's, right down to a dry brine and dry spiced flour for the crust. The only difference is my mom put milk in her gravy instead of water. We had rice & gravy sometimes, but usually it was mashed potatoes. Other than that, it is just about identical. I always thought my mom made the best fried chicken. Now I can say that your fried chicken is the best. My mom is gone now and I don't like to fry chicken. I believe this is the best method. TFS
2014 too😂
Wouldn’t it make more sense to mix the milk, sugar and vanilla together first, before adding it to the snow?
Have you made them in a instapot?
Looks yummy. But I like my soup soupy.
I love red slaw and make it quite often. I just stumbled across this video. I'm from the western part of the state. Red slaw goes with everything. I'm going to try the chipotle tabasco next time.
My mouths ah watering
Felt like I was watching my grandma teach me how to make gravy🥺 thank you🫶
Thank you for oyster stew tips🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉will apply them today🎉🎉🎉🎉
Finding out that jug milk is the leading cause of heart disease. Grocery store junk milk is what it is refered as.
You may like to use a high quality sea salt and not the Morton salt, save that to clean yer cast iron pans.
A little less talk and more action goes a long way
Watching this in my Clemson shirt! Go tigers love the recipe!!
Made this a few times and it always turns out great.
Bless you. I'm a good cook, but nobody taught me gravy. Betcha this will work for my chicken fried steak too.
FLUSH
Thanks for all the info and this recipe for a small batch !
Roddenberrys in Cairo Georgia had a peanut processin plant up until early 1990s. Best peanuts in the world. different variations. My pops from dwn there
Go Tigers!
Super!!!
Can I add cajun seasoning to this? 2 TBS of salt and cajun seasoning? I like mine spicey. Thank you for sharing this video
DANGER- TOXINS ARE IN SKIN AND SEEDS- THAT'S WHY YOU REMOVE THEM --STUPID TO SUGGEST EATING THEM😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I tried this last night, with a 24oz bag of raw peanuts, and even after 10 hours they weren't done enough. I like mine really soft, like beans, and the crock pot just couldn't get them there. Gonna throw out the whole pot and start over. Also I put thyme in there, which some recommend, but I didn't like it and it made them smell kinda not great. I guess I just don't like the smell of thyme.
I cant believe she didnt open up a piece.
I am trying this soup right now... 20 more mins
Great instruction. I love peanuts but I have never had them this way since I am born and raised in Maryland. I've got to give these a try!
Those look great I'm thinking about making some Im living up north and I can't buy them up here 😭 (homemade is always better anyhow)
Rinse 🫡
Thank you, Phyllis. This is the way my mother made oyster stew back in the 1960s when I was growing up. So good.
Thank you
